This book is all about the weather data of the location Sainte Foy Tarentaise. Sainte Foy is in the heart of the Haute Tarentaise which is located in the Savoie region of the French Alps. The book is to show the reader visually a different way of how weather data can be researched. I as the designer, have taken the topography of the mountain that Sainte Foy sits on and have used it as the heart of the book to show the terrain. The hole of the book is measured accurately to the sections of the mountain and gets darker gradually to show the gradient of the terrain. At the back of the book you can find the exact pieces of data on the figures list to get the correct information. The book reflects on how the mountain is split up into stations across the geographical area. There are three;
Bottom Lift - 1545m
Middle Lift - 2082m
Top Lift - 2620m
The concept behind this is to create a unique experience for the reader. The idea is for when the reader is flicking through, it is as if they are travelling up the mountain. The physical hole gets smaller, and everything gets darker to symbolise the height and steepness of the mountain.
